Lead’s Handley Center receives $15,000 for Capital Campaign

Representatives from the Lead Area Chamber of Commerce and the Sanford Underground Research Facility present a joint gift of $15,000 to launch the capital campaign for the Handley Recreation Center in Lead. The gift is an equal partnership between the two organizations in recognition of the visitors center’s acquisition by the South Dakota Science and Technology Authority. Handley Recreation Center is home to the Lead-Deadwood chapter of Boys & Girls Club of the Black Hills and a hub for youth and family activities in the Lead area.
