The Sturgis PAL Boxing Club is a nonprofit organization. In 2017, the Sturgis PAL coalition received the National PAL Youth Mentoring Grant, funded by the US Department of Justice Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. The funds were used to establish and operate a youth leadership team and a youth mentoring program through the coalition. In the beginning, the mentors were primarily current law enforcement officers. As the coalition has grown, the mentors have expanded to other community members, such as educators, business owners and parents. Through the mentoring group, the Sturgis PAL Coalition was able to fund the purchase of new boxing equipment for the Youth Boxing Club and eventually was able to find a location for the Boxing Club to operate. We are located at 1426 Short Track Road in Sturgis. Classes are Monday through Wednesday at 6pm for beginners and 7pm for experienced boxers. Thursday we train at 6:30 and 7:30pm.
