Blizzard Update from Black Hills Energy

BLACK HILLS ENERGY RESTORING POWER OUTAGES FOR CUSTOMERS IN RAPID CITYAREA

RAPID CITY, SD — Nov 30, 2019 – Black Hills Energy is experiencing a power outages in the Northeast and Southeast areas of Rapid City affecting about 1,420 customers around 6:30 pm. The outages are due to severe snow and blizzard conditions traveling through the Black Hills region. Black Hills Energy crews have responded to outages with restoration efforts occurring within the next 2-4 hours.

POWER OUTAGE RESTOED FOR BLACK HILLS ENERGY CUSTOMERS IN BLACK HAWK AREA

RAPID CITY, SD — Nov 30, 2019 – Power was restored to 1,600 Black Hills Energy customers by 6:30 pm. Black Hills Energy experienced several power outages in the Black Hawk area and along HWY 79 West affecting about 1,600 customers around 4:15 pm. Crews continue to restore power to the remaining customers. The outage was due to severe blizzard condition traveling through the region.
