Spearfish High School athletes kicked off the track and field season with solid results at the West River AA Preview meet in Rapid City. Spartan athletes Thomas Hughes, Peyton VanDeest, and Laila Ratzsch recapped their performances and outlook for the season. Coach Aaron Nida shares thoughts on the team’s top performers, noting the hard work from veterans and promising younger athletes.
