Throwers Joseph McLennan and Gabe Raba talk about building on last year’s state meet experiences, with strong early results in shot put and discus. Sprinter Jazlyn Olson looks to chase school records in the sprints and relays, while Mya Nowowiejski aims for solid performances across multiple relay events and the 400. Throws coach Kyle Haxton highlights a solid group of boys and efforts to grow the girls’ program. Head coach Matthew Wattier notes the challenges of early cancellations and cold weather but points to a great season ahead with lots of returning talent. The team heads next to the Queen City Classic in Spearfish this Friday.
