Nash Hutmacher was a two-time South Dakota state champion in high school track & field, three-time all-state football player and four-time state wrestling champion. Ranked as the nation’s Number 1 high school heavyweight wrestler.
Nash was the first heavyweight wrestler in South Dakota history to win more than two consecutive state titles. 166-0 in his high school career. Won his final 73 matches by pin, the second longest pin streak in national high school wrestling history. The previous consecutive South Dakota high school pin record was 45 set by Randy Lewis in 1975. He was a four-time All American winning several events including the 2019 USA Wrestling Junior Folkstyle National Championship and also winning the 2017 USA Wrestling Cadet Freestyle National Championship. Nash won the Class A state shot put and discus titles as a junior. Nash Hutmacher was named the 2018-2019 South Dakota Boys Athlete of the Year.
