Incoming Freshmen Commit to Sturgis Scooper Football

Sturgis Brown head football coach Chris Koletzky welcomed future Scoopers at the eighth grade signing event at Sturgis Williams Middle School and Stagebarn Middle School.  He highlighted the program’s focus on building excitement with the new team members, sharing the team’s culture, expectations, and a unique approach that puts incoming freshmen at the top of the priority list.  Coach Koletzky discussed the commitment form centered on character and integrity, along with upcoming summer opportunities including seven-on-seven sessions, a three-day camp, and the start of the strength program. He also touched on the 2026 season schedule and mentioned the upcoming turf installation that will give the Scoopers one of the finest home field settings in the state, complete with the natural backdrop of the cliffs and sunsets.  Interview and photos by Tim Potts.
