Tom Monahan, the founder of Tom’s T’s, designed the “Official Logo” for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally to help with funding for the Black Hills Motorcycle Classic. In 1986, Tom donated his “Official Logo” design to the Sturgis Chamber of Commerce for use by the city of Sturgis, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and other events benefiting the community of Sturgis. Tom’s T’s pledged to give $2 to the Sturgis Chamber for each shirt sold that was imprinted with the “Official Logo”.
